joinXS¶

joinXS is a suite of production tools built around native JPEG XS codec support, letting you record, play back, and edit JPEG XS content without transcoding to another format first.

Why JPEG XS¶

JPEG XS is a low-latency, visually lossless codec designed for professional video production workflows. Because it is lightweight to encode and decode, joinXS tools can work with JPEG XS media directly, avoiding the extra transcoding step that heavier codecs typically require.

What's in the suite¶

joinXS consists of three tools:

• joinXS Recorder — Receives live JPEG XS video over IP and records it to production-ready files.
• joinXS Player — Plays back JPEG XS media.
• joinXS Premiere Plugin — Imports and exports JPEG XS media directly in Adobe Premiere Pro.
